For your consideration, a short story, about a new idea

David cares deeply about the environment, but can’t donate as much as he wants to nonprofits working to protect it.
As a designer, he sometimes donates design work to nonprofits, but his narrow skill set makes it hard to find a project he is a good fit for AND is creatively fulfilling.
To make matters worse, nonprofits make up just 6% of the US economy so there aren’t many opportunities for a designer to donate their talent to make a difference.
What if there were a way to open up the other 94% to design donations that support nonprofits…

How It Works
—
1
A for-profit business needs design work - something they would normally pay a contractor for.
2
Friends For Good matches them with a designer who does the project in exchange for a donation.
3
The business makes an agreed-upon donation to the designer’s nonprofit of choice.
